IT'S HER TIME HOCKEY
A nonprofit organization founded to grow the game of hockey one girl at a time
Contact UsA nonprofit organization founded in 2021, It's Her Time Hockey strives to inspire girls to be their strongest, sharpest and boldest selves by providing affordable exposure to the unique sport of ice hockey. Our competitive program pushes our girls to discover and develop their individual strengths while learning how to become indispensable parts of a close-knit team. We aim to empower young women, fostering leadership skills and ingraining a deep-rooted appreciation for the benefits of hard work, leaving them with an uplifting experience and a love for hockey that they will carry forward into their adult lives.
All donations to It's Her Time Hockey will:
Help offset ice time expenses needed for girls' hockey clubs in our region.
Provide free equipment to girls who are gaining their first exposure to hockey through ourLearn to Playprograms.
Financially assist girls who would otherwise be unable to play hockey due to the costs associated with the sport. Provide financial support for ice time costs associated with our
Try Hockey for Free programs which aim to grow the game by offering girls an opportunity to get a feel for hockey before making a commitment to playing.
Help support female coaching through our “Girls First” hockey training approach.
It's Her Time Hockey aims to become the number one supporter of girls' hockey in our region. We strongly believe in the need for girls to be able to play with and against other girls, and if we can eliminate the financial hurdles to growing participation in the sport then we can make huge progress in growing the opportunities for girls only games, further skill development of female players and make great strides in the retention of girls in the sport.
Together we can make a difference for girls who want to play the great game of hockey. Please help us grow the game we love!
"People would say, 'Girls don't play hockey. Girls don't skate.' I would say, 'Watch this.'" - Hayley Wickenheiser
